Ok, for those of you who made it through my long, winding posts above. This poem is by my friend, Steve - the guy we can all blame for this entire blog. He is my friend, boss & co-worker; and talked me into watching Twilight over the course of a few weeks through 3 to 5 meandering conversations before I finally believed him that Twilight could possibly be so cool.
He's sorry, he's really really really sorry...
And he's really good at making up for it!
Make It BLEED
by Steve
The sun was setting
And an obsession was seen
What would become of them?
Blame the obsession on me
A girl's eye fantasy
Living on the screen
When the Twilight shows
Who decides what it means
Then it happened
A New Moon was there
But maybe it forgot
The love of the tale
Then an illusion
An Eclipse was seen
But was it enough
To keep the fantasy
However a wedding
A union was to come
Thoughtful and joyous
Filling the fantasy of young
A night to remember
Some furniture to buy new
Breaking through the Dawn
The love shined through
Through the term
The love seemed there
Then "It's" arrival
So please don't stare
So how should it end
This girls fantasy - I say
Just find Your Bite...
And Make It BLEED!
An addition (1/18/12) - I'm adding this here just for Steve! Because during all of our rambling conversations about both the good and bad of Twilight, HE is the one who brought up the silly idea that "Edward sounds too cold for Bella to not get "stuck" on him when she kisses him (ummm, and other things - he is a GUY, after all, ha!) Here you go, Steve... You're not the only one who has thought of this!
