(Petitions are here - Yeah, there are more peeps than just me wanting this Hollywood BS to change. It's a worthy injustice that needs changing from many perspectives.)

The petition is down now, but here's what the OLD petition
used to say before it was updated to include the Quileute Tribe.
It's the same, although I also lowered the ding to 25% instead of 50%
- even though I don't think any of them deserve a dime.

Yeah, I decided to follow through with my convictions, and make it easy for us all to really feel like we are saying something collectively loud enough to the companies of Little, Brown and Company and Summit Entertainment (now merged with Lionsgate) for their professional negligence in serving up these addictive Twilight stories so irresponsibly to the world.

We're asking for 25% of the profits from both the books & movies of Twilight Breaking Dawn. We're not greedy - we'll take whatever is left in profits AFTER everyone who has worked so damn hard on these movies has been paid - MINUS the salaries of both company's executive & administrative salaries & expenses that were used in allowing this to happen!

This money will be utilized two ways: 1) a portion for the Quileute Tribe for GRACIOUSLY putting up with us wacky Twihards and answering all of our questions when we come visit Forks and their tribe - DESPITE the fact that Stephenie treated their CHERISHED Creation Oral History with such disrespect within The Twilight Saga; and 2) toward education for student writers & filmakers.

I've read somewhere someone figured that around 40% of Breaking Dawn's book fans were unhappy with it after reading it. Despite the current silence that you see in this blog, there are so many of us who would not have bothered with any of these books and/or movies if we had known about the major literary malfunctions of the story of Twilight ahead of time.

And you know... If they were to do something like this, it would probably be a whole lot easier for me to go see Breaking Dawn Part 2 in the theaters when it comes out next year - just to add a little more money to the pot!

It may seem like I am one lonely little person standing on a soapbox spewing my silly message out to an unlistening world... But I know my sisters, and I know the majority of us would never have condoned this story as it is, if we had been able to see and realize what was going on with it.

We just need time. All this is really disturbing... and in this "Power to the People" age, it isn't something we should accept. These companies practically created a cult around Twilight - and I'm sure it's one that will continue, and I HOPE it does! But we should let people know how unacceptable all this is to us; and we should let greedy companies like these know how unacceptable it is to target our young adult population with such destructive literature.
