Gosh, let's talk about HOW Stephenie Meyer can
MAKE this UP TO all of her Fans with "MIDNIGHT SUN"!

Ok, as you may have noticed, I'm having a hard time toning this blog down any further; and it just seems to keep getting more and more heated with every post I put up here. I've noticed this among my fellow estranged Twilighters - most of us try to begin our arguments in a nice but clear, logical way - but then when we discover that nothing we say is being listened to and everything is being twisted & brushed off JUST because you all want to STAY in this FILTH - is maddening to say the least. So, my apologies for how my posts have escalated; and yet I'm having the hardest time smoothing them over...

I've pretty much just been told off by someone who "kinda" agrees with me BUT also believes that anyone should be able to "like whatever they want to like" - AS IF I'M ATTACKING FREEDOM OF SPEECH OR SOMETHING! This REALLY IS a LAME excuse for the rest of you. You all KNOW someone or SLEEP with someone or WANT TO SLEEP with someone who loves this stupid story; so you brush it off like everyone else did/does - KNOWING as MUCH as THEY DO just how WRONG & BAD this story is! (Even MORE maddening is that THESE people are some of the ones who are complaining the LOUDEST about Twilight!)

Suspension of Belief means nothing...

Good Grammar is a thing of the past...

Literary Research - who the hell needs to invest in that kind of headache?!

Professional Editors are not so professional anymore - and that's Ok, too...

It's like NONE of you are noticing AT ALL - not EVEN with the HUGE pile of stuff I've got collected; what a TERRIBLY WRITTEN literary draft the ENTIRE series of Twilight was/is - grammatically, structurally, etc. And WHAT am I talking about when I say, "addictive character sketches" and/or "unbelievable storylines"?!

Aren't professional BOOK PUBLISHING COMPANIES supposed to MAKE SURE their books are up to a certain literary standard before they are published for ANYONE? Why is this badly-edited, poorly written garbage Ok - for ANYONE, much LESS the young adult portion of our population?!

It's NOT LIKE The Twilight Saga was supposed to be written as a trashy little paperback for women!

What are we saying to our kids in regards to what kinds of literary practices get rewarded in this world? I mean, why work for anything if you can just slip through the cracks like Stephenie did?

What about next time someone wants to publish such destructive literature to the financially-lucrative YA mass audience - it's Ok as long as you tap into where women live & breath so that you have their passions behind them backing whatever crappy thing you're trying to pass off, out here...

MOST IMPORTANT... What about all the people before me of ALL AGES AMONG BOTH GENDERS who were debunked by this dysfunctional storyline ending and suffered varying degrees of emotional distress because of it? I'm obviously late to the party, but it doesn't change the fact that SM caused MANY of her fans the SAME kind of distress at the time Breaking Dawn was published as you see me exhibit in here. I'm NO DIFFERENT than they are/were - really. We should have ALL gotten a "beautiful fairytale" not just some of us.

I mean, how DARE you ALL continue to condone this story while this woman has CAUSED, in a VERY IRRESPONSIBLE WAY, many young girls to basically experience a BROKEN HEART before their TIME and many others of us older girls a broken heart on TOP of the ugly ones we've already had. THIS is NOT Ok, not even SORT OF! So you're ALL FINE being in love with YOUR pretty story... WHAT about OUR story? WHY does this smug, desperate housewife get a get-out-of-jail-free card, ladies?!

LOOK at all the links I've got collected along the side of this blog - LOOK AT THEM!

On TOP of all that... I've come up with the most brilliant way for Stephenie Meyer, herself, to make this up to ALL of her fans (No, I'm not asking her to give up any of her financial gains - she deserves her pot of gold, doesn't she?!) - because YEAH, I think she owes us ALL whether or NOT you enjoy your obsession with Twilight. You could have been much more potently & constructively obsessed (MUCH less damaging and FAR more of an "escape") IF this story had been done RIGHT the first time around!

I loved Twilight, and I feel nothing but betrayed by the author and those who stuck up for this book so passionately for so long with all these glaring, VALID comments, opinions and yeah - even FACTS.

I'm truly sorry I ever heard of your pathetic Twilight Saga. You should have kept it Stephenie, and I really really wish you would have!

REALLY?! My respect for pretty much the ENTIRE WORLD is seriously beginning to diminish.

  1. Culture and authorship and integrity and validity as a whole is no longer valued in today's freeloading, mass production, corp controlling era.

Twilight is a money machine. Period. There's a reason why we all eat it up. Regardless of what anyone thinks, it's worked incredibly well for everyone involved in the making of the product. Both written and on the big screen.

You bring up some amazing points. Good luck with your petition. Right or wrong, you're standing for something. That alone is right on a lot of levels.

  2. Thanks Monika - I know this is a steep hill that will probably not be "won"; but it won't be for lack of trying, ha! :)
